Psst- this was my first EVER furniture makeover! I painted my late grandmother's sewing desk and MAN, I wish I had a resource like this to help me out along the way😰

You could try Googling to find out how to do it, but take it from me (someone who learned everything she knows about furniture makeovers from those who shared their knowledge on the Internet)-- you're going to find very conflicting information. So if you don't want to waste your time sifting through page after page and getting confused and all turned around, then you found the right place!

In this exclusive guide, I share my personal framework for walking through every furniture upcycling project I do and share the tips and tricks I've learned from experience to save you time and effort during your makeover. I even include recommendations for some of my favourite products that I use day-to-day in my business, and included a First Furniture Makeover Supplies Checklist so you know you have everything you need to get the job done.

If you're anything like me when I set out to do my first makeover, you're probably hesitant to jump in because you're worried it won't end up looking like the vision you have in your head. You're worried you'll end up ruining the piece. Especially if it's a family heirloom that has been passed down through the generations but it doesn't quite fit the vibe of your home and you're looking to make it match your style better-- but if you messed it up, your family would be aghast!

Rest assured that I'm here to tell you, it would be VERY hard for you to screw this up past the point of being able to strip it all back and redo it. So there are no down sides to you giving it a go... hey, you might even get the itch for more and end up starting up a a furniture flipping side hustle like I did. You never know until you try, amirite?!

I always say that my knack is for bringing new life to the old and unloved-- taking outdated, worn down pieces of furniture and modernizing, fine tuning and/or completely transforming the piece. Furniture that would have otherwise ended up in the garbage and clogged up our landfills.

Did you know that it's estimate that 10 million tons of F-waste (furniture waste) ends up in the landfill each year in Canada and the United States alone? One ton is the equivalent of 2000 pounds or 907 kilograms. And for the visual folks out there, this f-waste is the equivalent of 10 million fully grown white rhinoceros.. every year... in only two countries in the whole entire world. Just think of how that can add up over time, and what it's doing to our environment.
